"This is my favorite way to make homemade tomato sauce. I have tried quite a few different recipes, but I found this one to be the tastiest! Cooking it in the oven will save your time, you won't have to stand by the pot. The color of my sauce turned out to be a bit yellowish due to the dominance of yellow tomatoes, but it didn't change the taste! True, I baked a small amount, small cherry tomatoes, because now they dominate in my garden - I'm still waiting for the bigger red ones to ripen!" - Indre, the author of

Ingredients:
- 1 kg of tomatoes
- 2 medium onions
- 7-10 cloves of garlic
- 60 g of sugar
- 5 spoons of vinegar
- 3 spoons of oil
- a handful of fresh rosemary
- 1 spoon of dried thyme
- 1 spoon of dried oregano
- 1 spoon of salt
- 1 tsp. of black pepper
Preparing:
- In a deep baking pan put tomatoes cut into pieces, onions, and peeled garlic cloves.
- Add spices, pour oil and vinegar, add sugar and salt. Mix everything well. Top with sprigs of fresh rosemary.
- Bake in an oven heated to 180° degrees for about 1 hour 30 minutes. Tip: When I see the top starting to burn, I cover it with a sheet of foil.
- When cooked, remove the rosemary sprigs - let it cool and mash with a blender.
- Heat the jars. If the sauce is very thick - do not heat it. If it is a little more liquid, heat it in a pot until it boils. Pour into prepared jars. Enjoy!
