Strawberry and mango dessert

Strawberry and mango dessert
"The story of this dessert is very simple, the strawberries were sad in the fridge and were waiting to be used, so I came up with a way to save them - to make a dessert!

I used whatever I had on hand at the time, it turned out delicious dessert!

The mango-flavored mousse goes well with the strawberry layer, which resembles Panacota in its preparation. If you prepare this dessert in the morning, you can enjoy it already in the evening! I am very happy with the mango powder - it is probably the only powder that you want to hang with a spoon and just eat. Great taste, divine aroma!

I invite you to make this dessert for the weekend and surprise your family!" - Indre

Ingredients:

Strawberry layer:
  • 150 g of strawberries
  • 100 ml of cream
  • 50 ml of milk
  • 30 g of sugar (if you don't like sweet desserts, add 10-15 g)
  • 5 g of gelatin
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla paste

Mango layer:
  • 170 ml of cream
  • 40 ml of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of mango powder
  • 30 g of sugar
  • 5 g of gelatin
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla paste

Preparing:

  • First, prepare the strawberry layer. Use an electric blender to puree the strawberries. Then mix with cream, milk, sugar, vanilla paste. Heat in a small pan until the mass becomes hot, but does not boil. Leave to cool slightly.
  • Pour gelatin with 1 tbsp of water - just enough to swell. Wait 15 minutes. Then melt it on a steam bath, try to do it quickly so that the warming gelatin does not overheat and lose its properties. Add 1 tablespoon of strawberry mass to the melted gelatin, mix everything very well. Then, stirring a little bit, add the gelatin mass to the strawberries, don't forget to stir. Allow to cool in room temperature, then pour into glasses or containers to serve. Refrigerate for 2 hours and then start preparing the mango layer.
  • For the mango layer, mix milk with mango powder. Pour this into the cream, add sugar and beat until the cream is stiff and holds its shape. It is important to use room temperature cream! Then prepare the gelatin, pour a spoonful of hot water over it to swell. Wait 15 minutes, then melt the gelatin over a steam bath. Put a spoonful of the prepared mango mass into the melted mixture, mix it and pour it into the mango and sour cream mixture while stirring a little at a time. Pour the resulting mass on the layer of strawberries, keep in the refrigerator for about 2 hours and enjoy the dessert. I served the dessert with fresh strawberries and mangoes. Enjoy! ♥️
